Widely praised, the architecture was based on the Silhouette chassis, which was out of assembly at the time. It was a glassy topless roadster, with a cautiously detailed, affected interior. The Athon was powered by a 3L, 260 bhp (194 kW) V8 engine. The agent was never advised to be put into production, with Lamborghini's banking troubles at the time sealing its fate. It appeared on the appearance car ambit and again was beatific to the Bertone museum.
